Cats in Masks!

These pieces use cats and masks as a way of exploring how we navigate emotion and perception. The masked figures symbolize the tension between what we show and what we suppress—how easy it is to present a controlled exterior while hiding the parts of ourselves that feel vulnerable or unheard. The cat with a mouth but no eyes flips that idea, suggesting a state of speaking out without really seeing how our voice lands, or not recognizing that we are being heard. Together, the works sit in that space between visibility and silence, asking what it really means to be seen, listened to, and understood beneath the masks we wear.
